Chapter #44 -  Phoenix Arizona, disbands

It was announced at the 2013 CCC Legacy Annual Meeting in Tucson, that Chapter #44 is closing.

The Phoenix, AZ Chapter was established in 1981 to further interest in the Civilian Conservation Corps.  Over the last 30 years they have left their own legacy of statues and plaques that bring awareness to the CCC and the men who served.

The Boys of the CCC were as rugged as the land they served.  Today the vistas of the Arizona desert landscape are still dotted with handy work that stands as a testament to that grit and creativity.
