Since the first conversations began between the James R. Wilkins family and the Lee District of the George Washington National Forest in the late 1990s, the dream of having a CCC Interpretive Center has been nudging forward.
The building is finished, the interpretive area is prepared and the time has come to finish the permanent exhibits. The exhibit designs were completed and now it is time to tell the CCC story. Much as been done to help move this exhibit toward reality. In this time of diminished resources, lack of funding is our greatest obstacle.
