Students papers are encouraged as part of the research and education process.   Bonny Ellen Van Dongeren of Augusta, GA, has written a paper that has been published in the CCC Legacy Journal entitled, "The CCC in Georgia".   It is attached to the website so that it can be enjoyed in a wider audience.

Biographical  Information

Bonny Ellen van Dongeren was born in  Amsterdam, Netherlands.  She went to school in Augusta, Georgia, graduation from Westside High School in 2007.  She is presently in her freshman year at August State University, considering a major in counseling.  After listening to her uncle, Bob Pasquill, talk about the CCC in Alabama for five years, Bonny became interested in the CCC in Georgia.  Bonny now has a greater appreciation for the Civilian Conservation Corps, the hardships of the Great Depression, and all the work that went into the building of the state parks in Georgia.
